The Nigerian Embassy in Cotonou received a delegation from Ojaja University, who were in the Republic of Benin to participate in the Nigeria Day celebration of the 4th Edition of the International Festival of Arts of Benin
The delegation was led by Her Royal Majesty, Olori Omolara Fashola MacGregor, alongside the Vice Chancellor of Ojaja University, Professor Jeleel Oju Ojuade, and members of their academic and administrative team.
During their stay in Benin, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy as part of efforts to strengthen institutional and cultural engagement.
The Chargé d’Affaires a.i, Amb. Bukar Kalambe, warmly welcomed the delegation and commended Ojaja University for its commitment to academic excellence and cross-border collaboration. Discussions during the visit focused on strengthening cultural ties and promoting educational cooperation between Nigeria and the Republic of Benin.
Both parties emphasized the importance of higher education as a vehicle for regional integration, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. The visit further underscored the enduring brotherly relationship between Nigeria and Benin Republic, particularly in the areas of culture, education, and people-to-people diplomacy.
